Annual Taco Party

Last year Sister Kapp and Sister Garmarano organized a taco party for the Branch. It was not only great fun for the members of the Branch but we had invited a lot of non members. They had never had tacos before. Elder Barrus and I decided me needed to make it an annual event. Sister Gerber and Sister Correa taught the Young Women how to make pinatas. Al taught three of the Relief Society sisters how to cook and season the hamburger for tacos. We bought the taco shells, but here they call them Rap10 (hap-pee-dez). So April 13 we ha our big party. We had a great turnout with lots of people from our English class attending. One of the families from our English class who attended had such a great time their four children didn't want to leave. When Elder Barrus and I left at the end of the evening, they were still there playing. The family is now taking the missionary lessons. The Branch Members are planning on doing it again next year but they want to try to make their own tortilla shells.
