Graca

Sister Gerber and Sister Correa have been teaching Graca about the Gospel. She is a beautiful, happy lady. She really wanted to be baptized but her husband said she could attend church but she couldn't be baptized. The Sisters asked Elder Barrus and I if we would have a Family Home Evening with them in Graca's home. We had a wonderful evening, both Graca and her husband were very gracious and a lot of fun. Graca made me this beautiful, crocheted doll and Graca's husband gave Al a carved tatu (armadillo) that he had had for 50 years. We were so humbled and appreciative of their thoughtful gifts. FHE was on Wednesday, April 11. On Friday, April 13, we had a Taco Party at the church. Graca and Jose came and both really enjoyed themselves. Al said to Jose, 'we would sure like to see Graca baptized before we leave Brasil.' Jose asked when that was and we told him in three weeks. He said, 'if she wants to be baptized, she can be baptized.' So, Sunday, April 29, Graca will be baptized following Sacrament Meeting We are so excited.
