Quite the Story!

Pictured left to right, Elder Barrus, Reginaldo and Antonio. For 26 years, Reginaldo was the pastor of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. His son joined the LDS Church and went on a mission. When his son returned, he challenged his Dad to read the Book of Mormon. Reginaldo did and said he knew it was true and made the decision to join the Church. The week before he was baptized, he faced his congregation and told them that he was joining the LDS Church. He had been provided with a home by the Seventh-day Adventist Church and of course, had to move. So he had no home, no income. A man that he had met who was from Portugal, had built a lovely home on some acreage outside Itapetininga. He and his wife decided that they didn't want to live in Brasil and went back to Portugal. But, he liked Reginaldo, and gave him his new, lovely home. Antonio, who joined the Church in March, met Reginaldo at a church function in Sorocaba. They visited a lot and then Reginaldo invited Antonio and Elder Barrus to his home. So on Saturday, April 14, the three spent the day together, visiting and bearing testimonies. It was an unforgettable day for Elder Barrus.
